Rimor Motorhomes
Reservations
A booking deposit of 20% is payable at the time of making a reservation and will be
deducted from the total hire charge. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of
cancellation (please see our cancellation policy).A confirmation of booking will be
posted or emailed to you together with an invoice in respect of the rest of the balance of
the hire charge. This invoice needs to be paid 6 weeks prior to commencement of hire.
Any late payments allow Rimor Motorhomes to cancel the booking.
Security Deposits
For a hire with Rimor Motorhomes a £750.00 credit card security deposit will be payable
by you on the day of hire. The security deposit will be refunded at the end of your hire
period provided that the vehicle is returned on time in a clean, complete and undamaged
state. Should any damages exceed the security deposit the hirer will be responsible in
settling the additional costs, similarly if the damages do not exceed the security deposit
Rimor Motorhomes will only charge for the necessary amount. A charge will be made to
you for any vehicles that are returned late or damaged. If vehicles are returned past the
date and specified time, hirer's render themselves liable to overtime charges of £25.00 an
hour.
Restrictions of hire and insurance
In order to hire one of our vehicles you must be between the ages of 25 - 70 years old.
Please note drivers with an overseas licence and additional drivers, there is an additional
insurance charge of approx £4.00 per day due to our insurer's Terms & Conditions. If you
have convicted motoring offences there is an additional charge of £2.50 - £5.00 per
offence per day due to our insurer's Terms & Conditions. All hirers must be in possession
of a valid driving licence. If you or the additional driver have had an accident please
inform us for insurance reasons as there may be added costs. Proof of identification plus
photo identity will need to be produced prior to commencement of hire with original
drivers licence including the paper counterpart with UK Licences. A second proof of
address is also required i.e. recent utility bill. All drivers must be present at time of hire.
For those traveling into Europe with Rimor Motorhomes, there is an additional £7.50 per
day charge to cover insurance & breakdown, this includes Southern Ireland. Insurance
cover provided is Fully Comprehensive the excess on each vehicle is £750.00, the
insurance company require your credit card details as security for the excess. They will
only charge your card in the event of an accident.
Usage
Our vehicles may not be used as suport vehicles for any type of charity run, walk, bike ride or anything to do with a stop start situation.
Children in our vehicles
We do not provide child seats or booster seats this is the sole responsibility of the hirer.
All of our Rimor Motorhomes fleet adhere to current Seatbelt Legislation.
Travel outside the United Kingdom
Rimor Motorhomes are allowed to travel into Europe ONLY.
Personal Travel Insurance
It is the hirer's responsibility to provide their own insurance to cover personal items and
belongings and personal injury in the event of an accident.
Fines & Penalties or Congestion charges
The hirer shall settle all fines and penalties incurred by the hirer during the term of hire
and the hirer agrees to reimburse Rimor Motorhomes in respect of any cost and expenses
incurred by Rimor Motorhomes in recovering such fines or penalties from the hirer.
Sewerage
The hirer is responsible for emptying the toilet and waste tanks prior to returning the
vehicle. Failure to do so will incur a charge of £50.00.
Smoking
Rimor Motorhomes operate a strictly enforced NO SMOKING policy in all vehicles.
Pets
Please ask us about our pet policy.
Breakdown/Accidents/Incidents
Every effort is made by Rimor Motorhomes to ensure the vehicle is in a safe and
roadworthy condition prior to each and every hire. Therefore Rimor Motorhomes
dissolves any responsibility for hotel or any other consequential expenses subsequent to a
breakdown. However, Rimor Motorhomes will refund the hire charges for any complete
days loss of the use of the vehicle. Rimor Motorhomes shall be under no liability for any
third party claims or damages in connection with or consequent upon, any accident or
breakdown. In the event of a breakdown or accident Rimor Motorhomes are at the
disposal of the hirer 24hrs a day 7 days a week. Approval must be obtained from Rimor
Motorhomes in respect of repairs and replacements. The maximum height of your vehicle
is clearly stated, any overhead damage is the responsibility of the hirer. The tyres
including punctures and damage to the window screens are the hirer's responsibility.
Rimor Motorhomes will cover any mechanical faults to the base chassis of the vehicle,
however, any callout charges made by the hirer for example, flat batteries, wrong fuel,
lost keys etc through the fault of themselves will be the responsibility of the hirer.
Fuel/Gas/Oil
A full tank of fuel will be provided with the vehicle at the start of hire and the hirer is
expected to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. Fuel will be charged at £1.50 per
litre if the vehicle is brought back less fuel. Please note the hirer will be liable if the
incorrect fuel is used. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that oil and water levels &
tyres are checked on a daily basis. A gas cylinder will be supplied at the time of hire and
the cost of any refill during the hire period is refundable by Rimor Motorhomes on proof
of receipt.
Mileage
Rimor Motorhomes unlimited mileage is allowed.
Hirer Co-operation
The hirer agrees not to part with the possession or control of the vehicle hired and not to
allow any person other than the agreed drivers to drive the vehicle, unless otherwise
authorised by Rimor Motorhomes. The hirer also agrees not to carry more passengers
than the seating capacity of the vehicle and not to use the vehicle for carrying passengers
or goods for hire.
Pick Up / Drop Off
Collection time for the vehicle is between 2pm and 4pm on the start day of your hire.
Vehicle is to be returned on last day of hire at latest 10.00am. A £25 per hour charge will
be made for vehicles later than 10am. At present we are closed for hires on Saturday and
Sundays & Bank Holidays. Our Opening hours are Mon – Fri 09.00am – 5.00pm. All
vehicles must be collected & returned to our depot at Wilmot Service Station, 10 Morley
Road, Chaddesden, Derby, DE21 4QU.
Car and Luggage Storage
We offer a car and luggage storage facility but these are left at owners own risk.
Cancellation Policy
More than 6 weeks before the hire equals loss of deposit only. 4 - 6 weeks prior to start of
hire equals 50% loss of the total hire charge and deposit. 28 days or less equals 100% loss
of the total hire charge.
